February 1, 2006 Dear Old Braeswood Neighbor: Our project, Trees for Old Braeswood, will finish the planting of live oaks on Holcombe Blvd. within the next 30 days. We need your generous contributions to ensure that we get all the necessary planting done. Holcombe Blvd. is the front door of Old Braeswood. Nothing will transform our neighborhood as much as completing this planting. We will also plant the eastern half of the 2300 block of Bluebonnet, and will plant at any location in Old Braeswood where a special request and contribution are made, in accordance with the masterpan which is being developed. We hope you have noticed what a beautiful difference the tree plantings on Greenbriar and throughout the neighborhood have made. On Holcombe we are expecting property owners to make substantial improvements, which together with the trees, will transform the street. You will hear more about this later. A contribution is also a wonderful way to honor a loved one, improve the environment, and beautify the neighborhood. The program will plant 15-gallon sized trees that cost $150 planted. We encourage every household to contribute to this vital neighborhood endeavor. Please send your check made payable to Trees for Houston/OBPOA. To request a specific planting or for more information, call the office at 713-807-1787 or send an email to info@oldbraeswood.com. Sincerely, Carroll Shaddock, Chairman Trees for Old Braeswood |
